A very quick and easy Alfredo sauce, was a tad thin for my liking, so I added in more cream cheese and a scrap more Parmesan to thicken it up. I used fresh spinach and it worked fine, cooked downwards nicely, yous need a lot, I used the whole nine ounce handbag of information technology. We grilled chicken and cutting information technology into seize with teeth sized pieces and served it all over fettuccine noodles. Was a great meal, improve than Olive Garden.

1 of the reasons why some had said that the sauce was a little thin, was because they used frozen spinach right out of thepackage without draining it. If you utilise frozen spinach, make certain that you SQEEZE the spinach to get all the extra water out of information technology. Frozen spinach is loaded with water that it will thin the sauce noticably. Savor!

Outstanding! My family loved this recipe. I used fresh spinach (because that was all I had) and added 1\2 of a huge mushroom I had leftover from another recipe. When I brand this again, I volition probably use fresh spinach and mushrooms again. I only had half-dozen oz of heavy cream and topped off the measuring cup with milk. I used a couple spoonfuls of potato flakes every bit a thickener (could not sense of taste murphy in the finished product.) I but mention this in instance someone else finds themselves short on foam or frozen spinach. ??
09/05/2013
Excellent! I used one-half the amount of spinach & it was however thick & fabulous! I also made half batch without spinach & that was very sparse, still tasty just thin. Fabricated for "thebuzz" Recipe Group nine/3/thirteen.
08/23/2016
Loved it. Followed the recipe with a couple of exceptions. I used the unabridged box (10 oz) of frozen chopped spinach used fresh garlic and 1-one/2 cups of shredded Parmesan. Came out thick and creamy. Volition definetly make this once more

Oh My WOW! This is nearly definitely better than Olive Garden or any other Alfredo sauce I've eaten. My 6 year old is the pickiest eater when it comes to pasta dishes and asked if we could accept this again tomorrow nighttime! I cut the butter down to 1/4 cup, used 1/2 to three/iv of a block of cream cheese (store make i/three less fatty version) because of other reviewers stating that the sauce had been too thin, and I didn't use spinach for my first endeavor. Served it over 3 cheese tortellini with chopped chicken and I will definitely be trying it again!

Perfect way to get my lilliputian guy to eat spinach! This is a delicious creamy alfredo recipe that volition be a keeper in my house. Went perfect with a salad and breadsticks.
09/21/2013
Made this for Recipe Group. I've never made alfredo before. I used a ten oz parcel of spinach (didn't know what else to practise with the small remaining amount). Also I used half and half just considering I didn't have heavy cream in the fridge. Mine tasted skillful but was a bit watery, probably because of my changes. So, I added the remainder of the 8 oz package of cream cheese; that helped. Also, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to clasp out all the water from the thawed spinach. I didn't exercise that- wasn't sure if information technology needed some water to "melt" in. Next time I would press the water out.

Recipe Group Selection 8/31/2013 - Let me just say, give thanks goodness I accept a gym membership. I used the full 10 oz. package of chopped spinach which ended up existence about 1 loving cup of chopped spinach. Information technology was very practiced and anybody enjoyed information technology but it'south not something I would make too often.
04/05/2016
For a thicker sauce just apply 3-four tablespoons of cream cheese and 1/2 loving cup to 3/4 loving cup of half and one-half (or heavy whipping cream). I do not use the butter, and I think information technology helps keep the sauce from running too thin (plus it's healthier). Every bit I stir the cooked pasta, spinach & garlic, and the cream cheese, I splash one-half-one-half forth the mode to brand sure my sauce doesn't get too thin. If information technology does go too thin, you tin can simmer it down by turning the rut on high and adding more than cream cheese. Hope that helps :)
02/25/2017
I like to add a pinch or two of nutmeg to creamed pastas, also to spinach dishes.
11/24/2013
I thought this was just ok. Thinner than I expected and almost too salty; for all those calories, I wanted perfection. I did add together cerise pepper flakes at the end and that perked up the flavor. At that place was a ton leftover, so maybe it'll taste better the second time around.
01/09/2016
I used fresh spinach and 2 minced garlic cloves, other than that, I followed the recipe as written. I tossed the sauce with rigatoni pasta and topped information technology off with slices of grilled chicken breasts. Delicious!
03/01/2017
This sauce was a nifty base. Saute a 1/2 cup onion and red pepper in butter with 1 tsp Italian seasoning and 1 Tablespoon chopped garlic. Brand certain the spinach is hand squeezed out the get out the excess moisture. Cut butter in half net time as it was pond in butter and we are a butter loving family.

Fabricated this for Recipe Group...I LOVE alfredo, and this was a peachy ane! I used a scrap more cream cheese and fresh spinach. I really liked the addition of the spinach for something different. I too liked that this wasn't quite as heavy every bit the usual alfredo. I will be making this again~YUM! Cheers for sharing. :)
03/03/2014
This is a very quick and forgiving sauce. I had less than the needed amount of cream, so I added just a footling more than cream cheese. I also used some fresh spinach I had frozen for smoothies. I but followed the general instructions, added some left-over turkey breast from the dark before, and served it over pasta for my hubby and zucchini noodles for me. Delicious!
11/02/2014
This sauce was delicious; did not change a affair
02/27/2017
What a great (and easy!) recipe. I served it as a side dish with chicken and ribs for 12 and everybody raved. I followed the recipe as written but added one ingredient. On the diagonal I cut carrot slices about 1/8 inch thick and pan seared with olive oil until crisp tender then added to the recipe. It really complimented the spinach and cheese. Thank you for a great recipe. Every bit many others have said, "It'southward a keeper". Thanks for a wonderful recipe. Debbie
10/24/2013
Easy and delish! At that place'southward no beating that philharmonic!
03/21/2017
this is really good. volition do it once more.
02/24/2017
This was ok, but exist sure to squeeze your frozen, thawed spinach until all most dry, otherwise your sauce will be thinner.
08/12/2013
Yummy and piece of cake! Pulled this together last minute when I realized I forgot to purchase pasta sauce. My only sub was 2% milk for cream, considering thats all I had merely my family still loved it.
03/08/2017
This was really uncomplicated to brand and it was delicious! I added some lobster ravioli, WOW!
03/01/2017
I used the portion figurer and made it for 2. I used some sliced mushrooms and fresh spinach. I also used caprine animal cheese instead of cream cheese. We enjoyed it more than any other aflredo we have eaten anywhere. Delicious
03/03/2017
I did not make whatsoever change, and I will make it again and again!
08/14/2014
It was delicious! Used about 8 ounces of fresh spinach instead of the frozen and information technology turned out corking!
11/07/2017
This was a very elementary recipe, which is a major plus. Nonetheless, equally others accept said, it is very thin. I ended upward adding another ounce of cream cheese and a bit more than spinach (because I dearest it!). It goes just fine with grilled chicken added. This recipe doesn't have much flavor, merely a piddling bit of common salt and pepper, fresh parsley, and shredded Parmesan on top goes a long way.
02/22/2016
Your recipe is pretty good! I basically add together the same ingredients except the "foam cheese" due to the fat content but I suppose you could employ depression fat neufchatel instead. There are a couple things I do to maximize season; I prepare the craven ahead of time, pierce it before marinating it in my tri-citrus marinade overnight using pineapple juice, slash of lemon & lime and even some orange juice with diced onion, greenish onion, red peppers, paprika, garlic and a bunch of other stuff (lol...table salt, pepper..that sort of thing) to make information technology flavorful, juicy & tender....baste information technology while I bake it...Now you may think citrus chicken would clash with the alfredo sauce only it doesn't because information technology just adds a nice juiciness & flavour to it...then I tear it and toss it in with cooked homemade spaghetti (into which I have incorporated a fiddling extra flavor by fashion of a pinch of salt, some parsley & garlic for push button in flavor); then I added a heaping tbsp of my secret French ingredient...that's right...le mayonnaise! I throw in some mozzarella & parmesan cheese...Gives it some other little boost (not likewise much mayo and then that you can identify every bit an ingredient..just enough for flavor)! It turned out pretty adept!! Cheers for sharing!
08/10/2017
This was very easy and delicious, no modifications necessary. Even my picky kids ate it all!
11/29/2017
Probably the best recipe I've found on this site. I used half and half instead of heavy whipping foam, and used a whole box of cream cheese. HIGHLY recommend these modifications!
01/12/2015
We ate it and liked it ok. It didn't take a very business firm flavor though, and information technology didn't take enough of the sauce/spinach mixture to cover the pasta well. I'll use the recipe again, but only every bit a base.
03/03/2017
I happened to take some variegated colored rotini and I made this as written. My hubby eyed it suspiciously, then proceeded to eat ii bowls! Very nice, different pasta dish
09/x/2013
My daughter enjoyed these very much! Simple to brand. I used fresh spinach and I think I used 1 1/2 heavy cream (threw away my notes) and kept everything the same.
03/27/2017
I doubled information technology and used a whole bag of fresh spinach. I likewise added actress cream cheese to brand it creamer and thicker. It was splendid!
03/15/2017
Followed the recipe with the exception of substituting the heavy whipping cream for the half and one-half and I used fresh spinach. It was unproblematic, delicious and easy to brand. I will be making this once again. Thanks for the recipe.
03/16/2017
nope. no changes
02/27/2017
Say no to frozen spinach, too watery. Also use 1-1/2 cups of skilful quality (i.eastward. fresh) parmesan cheese. Add a little at a time and stir constantly. That volition get it thicker for yous.
12/21/2016
I of the BEST alfredo sauces I've e'er had. My husband doesn't care for spinach and he LOVED it!
08/22/2016
Delicious recipe, just be sure to squeeze the water from the frozen spinach before putting spinach in the sauce. I think this recipe is a neat base recipe and annihilation is possible with information technology!
01/31/2016
I arranged a bit. add bacon and used regular spaghetti. maybe next time I'll endeavour use fresh garlic and also some sliced mushroom. Anyway, this is a good recipe. my teenage sons love it a lot!
01/29/2019
I didn't have any frozen spinach so I used fresh cooked broccoli, left over chicken and increased the foam cheese to eight oz. I added 8 oz of cooked small shell pasta put information technology all in a pocket-sized cake pan and baked for about xx min. @ 350 followed past 3 minutes of broiling it. I retrieve the actress foam cheese was also over powering for me, felt like it needed more than seasoning. My married man loved it.
02/24/2017
Fresh garlic and fresh spinach for a fresher, better taste!!! I besides sautéed some shallot with the garlic. I probably used 4oz of foam cheese for a richer flavor. I like my sauce a little thicker, so made a loose roux out of the butter before calculation the cream. I used a combination of heavy foam, one-half north half and milk. Definitely a keeper at our house!
01/07/2016
My offset fourth dimension making home made Alfredo and this was a hit. My family unit admittedly loved it. I added sausage and mushrooms and seasoned to my taste but would have to conclude this nosotros very unproblematic to make, tastey and filling.
11/06/2016
This was delicious. Simply thing I did dissimilar was thicken it a bit at the stop with a cornstarch slurry. YUMMY!
07/twenty/2017
Beloved it, will make information technology again
09/17/2017
Fabricated this with fresh spinach ( could and should have added a little more) about a cup chopped. After letting it simmer, added in the residuum of my breakfast bacon already cooked and chopped, some freshly cooked shrimp and so tossed in the fettuccini noodles and let warm. Oh man was that a skillful meal!
03/31/2017
Yummy! Served over fettuccini noodles it was succulent. It would as well exist amazing as a dip.
03/16/2017
It was delicious I followed instructions. My 16yr former boy just won't have spinach. He loved it went for 2nd. Thank you ??
03/04/2017
I cut the butter to i/4 cup and used 4 oz. cream cheese. I will definitely brand this again. As well, be sure to drain the spinach.
12/16/2014
Soooo good! I used a niggling less spinach the first time I fabricated it, and let me tell you lot, it was non all that great. When I used the recommended amount the second time, information technology was so fabled that even my picky little sister ate it. Greatest spinach recipe e'er!
11/22/2017
This is one of the best Alfredo recipies I have made. Its not super heavy like almost Alfredo sauces and the spinach adds a slap-up flavor. 100% recommend.
04/06/2017
Later reading reviews, I added 2 extra TBSP of Cream Cheese and I used a full of 2 boxes of spinach. Information technology was a Hit with my grandchildren and family!
04/12/2017
This was a really tasty and quick recipe. I followed the recipe but with a few changes. I used frozen spinach and substituted asiago cheese for the Parmesan. I also used more foam cheese and added fresh mushrooms and chicken. It was delicious! I will make this again!
04/24/2018
Seriously delicious!
03/23/2017
I used half of the cream and 2% milk in order to cut down on the fat. I would make this dish again. It was very flavorful, creamy and tasty!
03/26/2017
Doubled the Spinach. Delicious recipe!
06/24/2019
Was and so good and piece of cake to make!
09/29/2019
After reading some of the comments, my fiance and I decided to add an extra tablespoon of cream cheese to thicken the sauce, only we only had Parmesan mixed with Asiago and Romano cheese which I think made the flavor a fiddling off. Nevertheless, information technology was very practiced for our start time making alfredo and nosotros will definitely exist trying it once again!
04/01/2017
Essentially followed recipe using fresh spinach, extra cream cheese and parma for thickness, a tad of basis garlic from jar, and a tad of nutmeg. Delicious and Like shooting fish in a barrel!! Does not make a lot. Takes a full 16 oz of fresh spinach.
06/05/2014
Very piece of cake to make. I halved the recipe, used fresh spinach and added a bit of ruby-red pepper flakes. It was as well a niggling thin for my taste then I added a lilliputian corn starch mixed with water and information technology ended up a swell consistency. Didn't need to add any salt.
03/22/2016
This was good, the family liked information technology. Next time I will probably double the spinach or even triple.
04/05/2017
This is really yummy. The problem is it is as well runny and to much oil. I used sour cream instead of the heavy cream. I ended upwardly simmering the penne pasta in the pot to soak up some of the water. Information technology came out the perfect consistency later information technology cooled. The next fourth dimension I will use but ane Tbsp of butter to cut the oil and maybe real garlic equally in that location is nothing similar the real thing. I also used fresh spinach which worked fine.
01/04/2016
Information technology was a striking with the family! Added a scrap more cream cheese to thicken it upwardly and added chicken. Next time will try mushrooms and/or olives.
09/04/2019
A very tasteful dinner. Very piece of cake to brand. I thought the spinach flavour was excellent. I plan on making this once more. My husband besides enjoyed information technology

Incredibly good. Yum. Added baked Costco chicken with lots of garlic. I almost forgot the noodles since they weren't on my grocery list.
07/01/2019
It is a neat recipe to follow and the taste is better than.....
03/26/2017
This was delish. It was also very rich. I couldn't brand it as well oft, just for a great occasional care for.
02/28/2017
Good recipe. I followed the recipe only changed it a scrap: sauted fresh mushrooms and spinach instead of frozen, substituted evaporated 2% milk instead of cream and light cream cheese. I would add a compression of nutmeg next fourth dimension and a flake more cheese. The cream cheese really adds a creamy texture, nice recipe, thanks for sharing!
03/27/2017
I used more spinach than called for - simply it was very easy and tasted wonderful.
ten/31/2019
I used more than than the recommended spinach considering I didn't desire to waste material any of the package later I defrosted it. Anybody who ate it loved it. My spinach haters unfortunately refused to try it. It was super easy to make and I will make it once again.
03/23/2017
I actually liked this recipe. I think the people that had the runny sauce, probably didn't squeeze the water out of their spinach out before they began. I did wring out the excess water from the spinach, and my sauce was perfect. The only affair I did different from the original recipe was substitute ricotta for cream cheese, because I ran out, simply that was it. Really yummy, and everyone in the family liked it.
03/26/2017
Information technology was crawly definitely tasted amend than Olive Garden
04/28/2020
if you fabricated it with other noddles would information technology be fine
03/22/2017
very expert -- I utilize half and one-half cream, fresh spinach, fresh garlic( several cloves minced) - information technology thicken nicely and I call up a craven breast - grilled and cutting upward, would get well with this dish to brand it heartier , but was very good every bit is and would make again --!
03/14/2017
I used mascarpone cheese and fresh kale and information technology was Awesome! I also used fresh garlic cloves smashed through a garlic press, just that was because I had no garlic powder and I I garlic cloves...
04/08/2017
If I had known how easy this is, I would have always fabricated information technology.
03/30/2014
Great and like shooting fish in a barrel! Added random left over veggies and it was nifty.
09/sixteen/2020
Corking. Skilful in a pinch. I added more garlic and it tasted dandy. Volition do information technology again.
03/27/2015
I added minced garlic and mushrooms with the spinach... Came out great!
03/22/2017
Super easy to make, and very delicious
10/18/2017
Dearest this recipe. family favorite. I pan fry shrimp and add. I also use bow necktie pasta.
06/05/2019
Someone said people complaining that its too sparse is because they used frozen spinach and didn't bleed it. I used fresh spinach and its still very thin. I added truffle oil, mushrooms and 2 garlic cloves to the spinach mixture. As well added craven and a teaspoon of crushed red peppers. Omg fabricated it taste and then amazing. Again, just also sparse.
12/14/2015
Fabricated with peas instead of spinach, awesome that mode too. Son and hubby both couldn't get plenty!
03/xiii/2017
Excellent!!! I did non change a thing, I cooked son boneless skinless chicken breasts and but the saucce on tiptop and heated it in the oen with a little parm on summit.... yum!!
06/28/2020
Came out perfect merely followed the tip to clasp and drain the spinach really practiced and added actress garlic
07/18/2017
Real good! I did add actress cream cheese, office, and doubled the spinach.
02/26/2017
This is yummy! Everyone in my family agreed that it needs to be on our regular rotation. Fifty-fifty my son, who doesnt honey spinach, ate every bite. This recipe was very quick and easy, making it a good ane for united states of america on a busy work/schoolhouse night. I served information technology over cheese tortellini, but would put information technology over any pasta. My but complaint is that it's hard to go far and not think most all the calories in this dish! But that's OK in one case in a while. I'm sure concerned cooks could brand some modifications to reduce the fat and calories a bit of they wanted.
03/02/2017
Aye!!! added more cream cheese. Next time I'm going to add shrimp Loved this recipe sooo Easy
05/xi/2017
This is quick, easy and delicious. You can add together any protein you similar. The offset time I made this I added grilled shrimp on affections hair pasta. The next time chicken. My husband just loves information technology and thinks he lives in a fine eatery. This recipe is definitely a keeper! Btw, I made this exactly as written.
08/29/2018
Dearest this recipe! I added, onion and red pepper flakes. My husband and 23 and ups loved it!! Definitely making this once again!
04/24/2016
Actually followed recipe. Did add together sauteed chicken and a petty paprika. Rich, sweet and yummy.
ten/06/2018
Many people are going to find the changes I had to brand sacrilegous, so continue reading at your own risk. ;) I had no heavy foam, so I dissolved a spoonful of cornstarch into a cup and a half of regular milk and used that instead of the cream. I didn't demand it to yield so much either, and so I used about one-half a cup of butter or maybe a little less, with the same amount of parmesan and cream cheese and virtually a cup of spinach. I idea a flake of nutmeg would go well with information technology, so i added that likewise. I had it over farfalle and my boyfriend had a chicken thigh with it. It turned out bang-up. I've never been to Olive Garden, so I don't know what this is supposed to be better than, merely I really liked this recipe and the version I ended upward making has less fatty in it, so I idea it might come in handy for some people. Thank you for sharing it!
03/01/2017
I'm not sure what to think of this. I'k neither from the USA nor particularly fond of Italian cuisine, so I really have no term of comparison. This tasted ok enough just, instead of watery like other reviewers mention, mine turned out extremely viscous, at that place'southward but much too much parmesan in this. If I ever effort information technology once more, I'll add a fleck more spinach and nearly ane/10 of the parmesan.
02/28/2018
I added a extra garlic, basil and a six pepper seasoning. I also added shrimp and cut a few grape tomatoes also. The original sauce was to thin so I added corn starch to thicken and information technology was delish!!
11/xi/2016
Nifty Fast Made mine without foam cheese and with fresh infant spinach! Delicious!
09/03/2018
I've made this a few times now. It's always a striking! I never use frozen spinach though, I always employ fresh.
07/27/2015
Probably the best tasting Alfredo sauce I've ever had. Simply follow the recipe exactly.
